Pastoral Care

Who are we?

The school Pastoral Team, Mrs Subryan and Mrs Middleton, work in partnership with Hempsted’s Children and Families Worker, Rachel Laughton, and the Parish Pastoral Team.

We know that family life can be both challenging and complex. Our job is to support, guide and advise parents and carers and work with children and their families to ensure appropriate support can be accessed, either from within the school or through the expertise of other services.

Food

With the rise in cost of living many families are struggling to buy food.

A Community Food Cupboard will be available from 9am to 4pm every day from 1st December in St Swithun’s Church porch. This will contain dry goods such as tinned food, pasta and sauce mixes. Please help yourself to  items if needed.

If you require food for several days we can arrange a food bank voucher and, if necessary, delivery.

Please speak to Mrs Subryan who will be happy to help. All requests are confidential.

Nappies and Clothes

Gloucestershire Bundles is a charity providing emergency packs of toiletries, clothing and equipment to pregnant women and families with children up to the age of 16, who find themselves in crisis situations. If you need any of these items, please speak to Mrs Subryan who can make a referral.

The School Pastoral Team are not available during the school holidays.

However, our friendly and welcoming Parish Pastoral Team are around to offer you support if needed.

Their contact number is 07732384576.

These are just a few of the things we do.

Please come and talk to us as there are many other ways in which we can support you directly or signpost you to where you can access the help or support you need. Sometimes, you might need to share information or have a difficult situation you need to make us aware of. We always take the time to listen, we have families too!

Please see our Early Help Offer for more detailed information and a list of other agencies who may be able to help.
