December update!

The Friends' Christmas Film Night information

We have a lot to look forward over the course of this school year and first up is the Christmas Film night on the 9th December.

Elves have been busy in the background and we are really looking forward to welcoming Children back to school in their pyjamas, to snuggle down and get in the festive spirit watching a Christmas film…well…this is the plan, although we are also quite sure there will be lots of toilet trips, some spilt popcorn and lots of excited little people who can’t quite sit still….but that’s the excitement of Christmas and we can’t wait!!

We hope as many of the Children as possible can join us.

The cost is £3 per child which includes a cup of popcorn and unlimited squash/water

There will be sweets available to buy at 50p a bag (limit to 3 bags per child) and additional popcorn will also be available at 50p per cup.

5pm – 6pm: The infants will be watching: Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

6:15pm – 8pm: The juniors film will be chosen by the school council and announced next week!

It will be pay on the door but if you could indicate to your class reps (via your class facebook/whatsapp group) if you are planning to come we can make sure we’ve got enough popcorn!

Infant Nativity refreshments

We are inviting all parents to come and wait in the warm with us before the Infant Nativity plays.

We will have tea/coffee and mine pies available in the Blue Room from 9am – 9:30am, we will be asking for donations to the Friends so if you could make sure you had a little cash with you we’d really appreciate it.

Tuesday 13th                       – Reception

Wednesday 14th               – Year 1 and 2

Thursday 15th                     – Year 1 and 2

Friends' update - Rags2Riches

Thank you so much to everyone for their generous donations to the Rags2Riches clothes collection.

This was set up by Ruth Lamb, our previous Chair so we want to say a big thank you to her for starting our fundraising off so well this year!

We managed to collect 52 bags of donations which made an amazing £80! A fantastic amount that will make a difference to school. We may run another one in the summer, we will keep you posted!

Thank you again for your donations and to the Friends helpers for collecting and counting bags!

If anyone is interested in joining the Friends organising team or if you were keen to volunteer for one of the above events please just get in touch.

We are a really friendly bunch with children in all different years. Our next get together is for sweet packing with mulled wine! Everyone is very welcome and if you’d like to know more I’d be very happy to have a chat with you about how it all works.

Happy December!

Becca
